October 8, 2026 | Race Rotax has more details to share on the 2027 Rotax MAX Challenge (RMC) season in the United States. The dates announced in April are unchanged: five race weekends across three events, the RMC Winter Trophy, the RMC America’s Trophy, and the RMC US Trophy Final. This update adds the Winter Trophy location, the number of 2027 RMC Grand Finals tickets at each event, and the Winter Trophy prize package. Sixteen Grand Finals tickets will be awarded across the three events. The season opens with the RMC Winter Trophy at Orlando Kart Center (OKC) in Orlando, Florida. The four-round competition format runs over two weekends, January 22-24 and February 19-21. The RMC America’s Trophy follows with four rounds over two weekends, April 16-18 and June 18-20. The season closes with the RMC US Trophy Final, a single standalone weekend on July 30-August 1. RMC Winter Trophy Prizes The Winter Trophy is part of a joint prize program with the SKUSA Winter Series. Each Winter Trophy round pays $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $125 for third in every Rotax class. The Winter Trophy champion in each class earns a Grand Finals ticket. Second place in the championship receives free entry and tires for Rounds 1-4 of the 2027 America’s Trophy, and third place receives free entry and tires for Rounds 1 and 2 of the America’s Trophy. A driver who wins both a SKUSA Winter Series championship and an RMC Winter Trophy championship receives a SKUSA SuperNationals 30 entry, a 2027 SKUSA ProTour entry package for all rounds, an RMC Grand Finals ticket, and a 2027 America’s Trophy and US Trophy Final entry package for all rounds. Loyalty is rewarded for drivers who compete in every round of both the SKUSA Winter Series and the RMC Winter Trophy. Those drivers receive a 25% discount on 2027 SKUSA ProTour, America’s Trophy and US Trophy Final entries. They also get early access to SuperNationals 30 registration, with a guaranteed opportunity to enter one class before general registration opens. Running only one of the two series does not qualify. Teams are rewarded as well. The team with the highest point total in the RMC Winter Trophy championship receives a 50% discount on pit space for all 2027 America’s Trophy and US Trophy Final rounds. Any team fielding at least 20 drivers under one tent at a Winter Trophy event receives a 50% discount on that event’s pit space. Additional prizes for the RMC America’s Trophy and the RMC US Trophy Final will be announced later. Locations, registration, and event details will be posted on RaceRotax.com as they are confirmed.
Friday, September 18, 2026 | Superkarts! USA and Karting Solutions Group (KSG) are joining forces to deliver the most extensive incentive program in the history of the SKUSA Winter Series (an IAME Series) and the RMC Winter Trophy. The combined program will provide more than $340,000 of value directly to racers and teams. The announcement comes on the heels of SKUSA and KSG announcing a return to the beloved Orlando Kart Center. While the two series remain separately operated, the back-to-back scheduling helps reduce the travel burden for competitors, families, and teams while creating an extended winter racing destination in Florida. SKUSA expects a record-breaking start to the 2027 season and believes the racing community that makes it all possible should participate in that success. “This is all about putting value back into the sport, and rewarding the people who make these programs possible,” SKUSA officials said. “The racers, families, teams, and sponsors are the reason these championships exist. We wanted to build a program that rewards them not only for winning, but also for committing to the series and supporting our ecosystem.” CASH AWARDS AT EVERY ROUND The program includes round by round cash payouts for race winners and podium finishers in all SKUSA IAME Pro, IAME Semi-Pro, and Rotax classes. CHAMPIONSHIP REWARDS In addition to the round-by-round purse, Championship podium finishers in every class will receive 2027 SKUSA ProTour and 2027 America Trophy entry benefits:
