UMC is home to Utah’s only outdoor kart track and one of the nation’s finest facilities. As a previous host to many Rotax Racing events, the UMC facility is no stranger to crowning Rotax Grand Finals Ticket Winners! Under new ownership in 2019, UMC will kick-off the Rotax Stars & Stripes program by hosting the Trophy event open to international competitors vying for a chance to earn a trip to the 2019 Rotax Max Challenge Grand finals in Sarno, Italy!
Day 1 Friday Practice Recap [May 17]
Mixed weather to start the official Stars & Stripes Trophy event didn’t hurt the mood or level of competition on the day as competitors all seemed very happy with the parity of the engines and tires as well as RAVE reviews about the ‘hot pit’ sessions which allowed drivers and tuners the opportunity to develop and test.
Day 2 Saturday Race Day Recap [May 18]

Day 3 Saturday Race Day Recap [May 19]
To the delight of everyone, the rain held off on Sunday for the final day of the 2019 Rotax MAX Stars and Stripes Trophy in Utah’s Toelle Valley, west of Salt Lake City. Although high winds showed up for the first time all weekend, the paddock laid witness to numerous battles in the dry for the coveted Rotax MAX Grand Finals and International Trophy tickets.
Full Event Recap
I’ve returned home from a weekend in one of the most beautiful states in the Union: Utah. I had the pleasure to witness the very first event put on by the well-known J3 Competition organization, now the northern distributor for Rotax in the United States. The event ran on schedule and you could tell the staff was prepared and ready.
