ROTAX KART ENGINES
125 Micro MAX EVO
Ages 8 to 11
The Micro MAX is the starting point for drivers ages 8 to 11. At 9.5 horsepower, it has enough performance to teach real racecraft while staying forgiving of the mistakes every new driver makes. It is also the first step on the Rotax MAX upgrade path: Micro, Mini, Junior, and Senior MAX share the same core engine, so as a driver ages up, the engine is upgraded rather than replaced. Micro MAX runs on a cadet-size chassis and races at every level, from leisure and club racing to national and international competition.
The CIK-FIA approved Micro MAX delivers 9.5 horsepower through a single-speed, non-gearbox setup with a centrifugal clutch and electric start, so young drivers can focus on learning lines and racecraft. An inlet restrictor and restricted exhaust socket keep power manageable, and the radiator and exhaust are sized to fit a cadet chassis. Built for long engine life and straightforward maintenance, it keeps downtime and running costs down for families just getting started.

Why Rotax?
Everyone who gets into karting eventually asks the same two questions: what is this really going to cost, and will I be able to keep up? The Rotax MAX platform was built around those questions.
It starts with one engine. Micro, Mini, Junior, and Senior MAX share the same core, so as a driver grows from a first race to senior competition, the engine grows with them through upgrades rather than replacements. Keep it maintained and it stays competitive, which puts the difference where it belongs: with the driver.
The same thinking runs through the rest of the engine. It runs on pump gas, not specialty race fuel, and needs only a 2% oil mix. It arrives as a complete package with the cooling system and electronics included, and it's backed by a 6-month factory warranty. It's built to go a long time between rebuilds, which means more weekends at the track and fewer in the shop.
Every engine is sealed and built to the same technical rules around the world, so the playing field stays level. A driver learning at a local club track is racing the same engine, under the same rules, as drivers from around the world at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals. The road from a first club race to international competition is already paved.
More time racing, less spent keeping up, and a clear path ahead for any driver willing to put in the work. That's the idea behind Rotax.
